Oregon Coast
On Thanksgiving long weekend (Oct 8-10), we drove along the Oregon Coast for some R&R with Ellie :)
Despite the forecast for a wet and chilly weather that weekend, we enjoyed a nice sunny day on Saturday!
Lots of time to run along the beaches and do some digging in the sand.. hehe
Can't wait to come back during the summer!

Life Rules!

I have sneaked into Mummy's computer again, hehehe!
I'm going to take over today's blog post! Here we gooo..
Ten Rules to a Happy Dog Life!
10) Entertain
Trust me on this one, my furry friends :O!
I discovered that the humans will pat you more and give you more treatz if you do those funny moves.
Hehehe.. mmm..anything for the snackies! :P~~
9) Eat your veggies!
I love grass!! They are my fav munchies after breakfast and dinner!
Good for my tummy aches and poopoo troubles :X
8) Break the rules (sometimes..keke)
Ok, I'm a good little girl, like 99% of the time..
but sometimes it's okay if we doggies get a little wild,
as long as we don't get too carried away, right right?
Here I am sneaking away and trying to find bones in the little bushes..
but shhh don't tell my Mummy! :O
I told her I went for a little washroom break 0:)
7) Be Brave
Weird stuff and big things are scary.
Don't run away.. face your fear!
I'm no scaredy butt..but I gotta proceed with caution.
A few barks and batting your paw will teach them who's boss!
I got over my fear of this thing called plastic water bottles..
I'm a big girl now, har!
6) Play
Always be ready for a game of fetch.
The humans are funny hehe..
They throw the ball and I catch it
Then I make them chase me for it
... and they do it everytime! Gawwhaha!
5) Be Sassy
I'm all about being obedient, but sometimes the humans push us too far..
Expect too much tricks n stuff.
That's when I say enough is enough, and I pull a raspberry and a flip of a paw. Psch!
(But careful my friends, too much sassy might get you into trouble.. so don't cross your mums & dads, k?)
4) Clean
I know, I know. Bath time is not the funnest.
But after bath time means more snuggies on the couch, the bed, huggles all around, and *sniff sniff* I smells good!
Plus lotsa zoomies around the house after.. woot woot!
3) Find your Zen
Close your eyes.
Stretch.
Take in a deep breath, and let it alllllll out.
SIGH, Ahhhh.
Repeat 10x throughout the day. Stay relaxed guys!
2) Smile :D
The biggest goofiest smile always wins, hands down.
Even the grumpiest gramps can't stay mad at me. :)
And finally...
1) LOVE <3

Ellie bellie
Fall is here! We are missing the sun, warm weather, and the lazy days..oh wait, nevermind..every day for Ellie is a lazy day :-)
Ellie has gradually warmed her way into sleeping on the bed, and we gave in once, twice.. and before we knew it, every night she's got her bum parked at the foot of the bed ;) What a little sneakster she is!
Now that it's a little colder at night, you start to appreciate the extra warmth from the curled up baby furball, hehe <3
Anyhoo, here's a look back at the last days of summer......

Lovey Dovey
Do you miss Toby yet? We sure do! Thanks to such a fun weekend with doggies and friends, the idea of another dog is getting so tempting.. ohh we're just going to have to steal Toby more often ;)
The end of the weekend meant we had to cherish every precious minute with Toby!
Here are some of my favorite moments:
A big change of heart from Ellie since the first day they met. Let's look back at her initial reaction:
Ouch! But of course, Toby keeps persisting and persisting ..reject after reject and no matter what.. still trying.. until finally finally finally, Ellie gets smitten...
Awww..don't you just love a happy ending to a happy weekend!

Furry friend weekend!
Introducing... Toby, the 5-month old Goldendoodle! We had the privilege to dog-sit our friend's dog for the weekend. And boy oh boy.. did we ever have fun!!
Ellie was totally miffed in the beginning - What?! A new dog playing with her toys and using her stuff! How dare he?!
Eventually she came around and started to play. He's a bubbly lil puppy, so when he pounces to play, and she's in no mood.. she'll glare at him and tell him off. Yup, she lets him know who's boss!
On Saturday, we took the dogs out to Harbourside Park in North Vancouver, and Ellie's childhood buddy came along as well!
Meet Kuma, the 1.5 year old Shiba Inu! Ellie and Kuma are a week apart in age, so they grew up together from the very beginning. :)
As we were leaving, we caught sight of a gorgeous Cavalier!
Now who's ready for a rinse down?? It's everybody's favourite - bath time! ;-)
And the fun continues... more to come!
